A short story about choices.
I walked into the psychic’s office to get some answers.
“Let me tell you your future!” the psychic said to me.
“I don’t care about my future, I need to know if the choices I have made in my life were right.” I told the psychic.
“I think that’s up to you. You know if your choices were right or not.” the bullshit psychic said to me.
“That’s bullshit.” I said.
“I need to know if I screwed up somewhere, what if I did this instead of that! What if I did nothing instead of something!” I said.
“I need to know if I am doing things right. I need to do things right.” I said.
“Maybe accept the fact that you have made wrong choices. Maybe then you will realize you are doing things the right way.” The psychic said to me.
I left the psychic’s office very disappointed and not impressed.
