A short story about punctuality.
I had walked around the block 10 times already.
I showed up to the meeting 20 minutes early and I didn’t want to look like a fool sitting in a conference room by myself so I started walking around the block.
I look way more important moving than sitting.
Everyone who sees me is probably thinking about what kind of meeting I must be going to. I am walking around this block with such purpose after all.
“Chest out, head high, he’s going to kill it.” The lady sitting on the stoop is probably thinking.
I am going to kill it.
The meeting started five minutes ago but I am in the zone right now. One more lap around the block and I’ll be ready.
Ready to kill it.
